    Cleaning Methods

    You can do daily or weekly cleaning with a clean wet cloth. Microfiber cloths would be effective for this process. After the initial damp wipe-down, using another clean & dry microfiber cloth would be essential in preventing water spots. This additional step would be required, especially for surfaces with a gloss finish.

    During the process, you may use any household cleaning agent for hygiene.

    Stain Removal Methods

    Should you encounter stains. You may use standard detergents available on the market for stain removals, such as Magic Clean, Jiff, CIF cleaner, and similar products. In a scenario of stubborn stains, you may use more potent agents such as 91% or 99% rubbing alcohol, nail polish remover, turpentine, or even thinner.

    Rub it with a clean microfiber cloth till the offending substance come off. As much as you can, wipe and clean spills immediately.

    Keep Gravel & Dirt at Bay

    Gravel and dirt can scratch the surface when dragged across your counters. Prevent that by regularly wiping down your surfaces with a clean microfiber cloth and clearing debris away promptly.

    Ensure that your microfiber cloths are regularly maintained to prevent a build-up of dirt and gravel.

    Objects such as knives, pens, scissors, cutlery, and others will cause damage. Prevent that by using a clean mat before placing sharp objects.

    Regularly check on the base of your bowls, plates, cups, and similar items to ensure that they are not chipped or damaged. These may cause scratches when dragged along the surface.

THINGS TO AVOID

    Avoid Scrubbing with Abrasive Materials

    Firstly, never use an abrasive scrub like a Scotch-Brite pad, nylon scouring pads, or related cleaning products, as they can scratch your beloved tabletops. This avoidance is mainly applicable to our gloss finish.

    The abrasive action will wear through the topcoat over time and expose the epoxy surface below, causing it to lose a vital layer of protection.

    However, soft to medium scrubbing bristles are perfectly fine for our matte surfaces as they are built for heavier scratch resistance.

  • no damage

    Avoid Any Damages

    Secondly, this list involves Metallic Epoxy Tabletop’s impact absorption and scratch resistance. Its virtues in these two areas are far more pronounced than most other materials.

    However, we should reiterate its lack of invincibility. Repeated damage from sharp and heavy objects directly on the surface will damage it.

    Though easily repaired, totally avoiding intentional or unintentional damages would still be highly recommended. No one should ever have their beloved tabletops tarnished.

    Avoid Overexposure To Constant High Heat

    Next, Metallic Epoxy’s heat resistance is up to 200°C. This property means it can take boiling hot water, hot pans, and some with minimal effect. Nevertheless, do not constantly overexpose your tabletops to these conditions. Use a saucer or cork-pad as much as you can.

    Though you probably would not be exposing your tabletops to such high temperatures. Frequent and long periods of exposure to high temperatures will eventually cause damage to your tabletops.

    Do note that it is heat resistant and not flame or fire-resistant. Therefore, you should ideally keep the flame-throwing to a minimum around the surface. Or anywhere else, for that matter.

  • no chemicals

    Avoid Using Heavy Industrial Chemicals

    Lastly, avoid using heavy industrial chemicals on your Metallic Epoxy Tabletops. It would be best if you were not cleaning your interiors with any heavy industrial chemicals in your home or office, for that matter.

    Frequent exposure to such chemicals will eventually cause damage to the topcoat. Avoid ammonia or any acids like vinegar as they would erode the surface, especially if used repeatedly.

    Highly concentrated industrial chemicals should also not be allowed to remain on the surface. However, should you encounter such a scenario, clean it off promptly with a clean damp cloth.
