    Cleaning Methods

    Regular sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, steam cleaning, robot cleaners, and the use of general household cleaners are allowed. The use of a pH-neutral detergent is strongly recommended.

    Make sure that the floor is free of gravel and stones before vacuuming. Check your cleaning equipment regularly for damage to avoid accidents.

    Stain Removal Methods

    Should you encounter stains. You may use standard detergents available on the market for stain removals, such as Magic Clean, Jiff, CIF cleaner, and similar products. In a scenario of stubborn stains, you may use more potent agents such as 91% or 99% rubbing alcohol, nail polish remover, turpentine, or even thinner.

    Rub it with a clean microfiber cloth till the offending substance come off. As much as you can, wipe and clean spills immediately.

    Keep Gravel & Dirt at Bay

    Gravel and dirt can scratch the surface when dragged across your floor. Prevent this by placing mats at entrances to keep these particles from entering the interior.

    Another option is to sweep your floors regularly or leave this to a robot cleaner on a routine. Clean the base of your robot cleaner regularly to prevent dirt and gravel from accumulating.

    Lugging heavy furniture, objects, and household or office equipment can cause scratches on your floors. Lifting and carrying are strongly recommended to avoid accidents.

    To make moving items easier, the use of felt floor protectors is a must. Clean or replace your protectors regularly to prevent dirt and grit from getting embedded within.

THINGS TO AVOID

    Avoid Scrubbing with Abrasive Materials

    Firstly, never be tempted to use abrasive cleaners such as nylon scouring pads, steel wool, or similar products, as they can scratch your beloved floorings. This avoidance is mainly applicable to our gloss finish.

    Over time, the abrasive action will wear through the topcoat, exposing the epoxy surface below, depriving it of a vital layer of protection.

    However, soft to medium scrubbing bristles are perfectly fine for our matte and matte anti-slip finishes as they are built for heavier scratch resistance.

    Avoid Any Damages

    Secondly, this list involves Metallic Epoxy Flooring’s impact absorption and scratch resistance. Its virtues in these two areas are far more pronounced than most other materials.

    However, we should reiterate its lack of invincibility. Repeated damage from sharp and heavy objects directly on the surface will damage it.

    Though easily repaired, totally avoiding intentional or unintentional damages would still be highly recommended. No one should ever have their beloved flooring tarnished.

    Avoid Overexposure To Constant High Heat

    Next, Metallic Epoxy’s heat resistance is graded to 200°C. This property means it can take boiling hot water, hot pans, and some with minimal effect. Nevertheless, do not constantly overexpose your floorings to these conditions.

    Though you probably would not be exposing your floorings to such high temperatures. Frequent and long periods of exposure to high temperatures will eventually cause damage to them.

    Do note that it is heat resistant and not flame or fire-resistant. Therefore, you should ideally keep the flame-throwing to a minimum around the surface. Or anywhere else, for that matter.

    Avoid Using Heavy Industrial Chemicals

    Lastly, avoid using heavy industrial chemicals on your Metallic Epoxy Floorings. It would be best if you were not cleaning your interiors with any heavy industrial chemicals in your home or office, for that matter.

    Frequent exposure to such chemicals will eventually cause damage to the topcoat. Avoid ammonia or any acids like vinegar as they would erode the surface, especially if used repeatedly.

    Highly concentrated industrial chemicals should also not be allowed to remain on the surface. However, should you encounter such a scenario, clean it off promptly with a clean damp cloth.
